Welcome to our website!
Greetings! Welcome to the official site of the Baltimore County Alumnae Chapter (BCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. BCAC was chartered by thirty-one dedicated, dynamic, college women, known as the Pioneering 31. Since its charter on December 15, 1984, our chapter continuously provides programs, support, and services throughout Baltimore County.
For over 30 years, BCAC has been committed to offering workshops and events that are focused on the Sorority's Five-Point Programmatic Thrusts. Opportunities abound to support community residents. BCAC educates and empowers the community about issues that are critical to the advancement of social change. Issues such as: voter registration, economic stability, physical and mental health awareness, and human trafficking are vital chapter concerns.
Our Annual Crab Feast and Beautillion-Cotillion are two of BCAC's major events. These events enable the chapter to support college-bound students by awarding scholarships and funding public service initiatives. The crab feast is a popular annual event which is entering its 21st year! Funds are raised for high school graduating seniors who will attend local community colleges, HBCU's and other universities. The Beautillion-Cotillion is an elegant event featuring high school juniors, seniors, and college freshmen. The event is a culmination of the students' participation in months of workshops and activities.
Please take time to visit our calendar of public events and peruse the website. You will gain insight about our chapter and various activities and programs that will be taking place throughout Baltimore County. All during the year, you will see a full slate of activities that benefit residents of all ages in Baltimore County. Mentoring programs for our youth through such initiatives as Delta Academy, Delta GEMS and EMBODI are a few of the activities. We are committed to giving back through tutorial and recreational programs as well as partnering activities through the Delta Outreach Center.
A sorority founded on Christian Principles and a dedication to Public Service, BCAC continues to support its chapter members as leaders and strive to embolden the local community one step at a time.
