Beautillion-Cotillion

Purpose and History of the Beautillion-Cotillion

The Baltimore County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has held its Annual Beautillion-Cotillion for the last twenty years. It has become one of the chapter’s most memorable fundraisers for all who participate. More than 370 Debutantes and Beaus have been presented at the Beautillion-Cotillion since its inception. This annual event spans approximately six months and includes workshops on etiquette, cultural awareness, college financial aid, and social and political awareness. The Beaus and Debutantes also participate in field trips coordinated to enhance the participants’ awareness and exposure to social, political and cultural events. These activities culminate in a beautiful evening at the Beautillion-Cotillion Ball which is the “official coming out” of the Debutante and Beau. Participants receive awards and deserved accolades for their academic, athletic, and community service efforts performed throughout their high school years.
