Scholarships

BCAC has awarded thousands of dollars over the past twenty-five years. BCAC offers two scholarship programs.

Leadership, Educational and Achievement Development (LEAD) Scholarship

This scholarship is a four to five year scholarship for a qualifying student who applies and enrolls in a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). The student must maintain an average of 2.75 or higher Grade Point Average (GPA) for its renewal.

Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is given in honor of our deceased Sorors and is a single year scholarship. This is a one-time award for a qualifying student. Scholarship applicants must live in Baltimore County and/or attend a
school in Baltimore County. Only high school seniors with a GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale are eligible to apply.

Scholarships are awarded for the purposes of tuition and school expenses.

The Scholarship and Standards Committee develops and administers the scholarship programs for the chapter, receives and reviews applications for Scholarship Programs and makes recommendations to the Executive Board of the names and qualifications of scholarship recipients.
